The Bavarian Forest offers a multitude of skiing areas

For skiers and snowboarders alike the nearby winter sports areas in Großer Arber (20km), Geißkopf (12km) Pröller-Skidreieck (15km) and Sankt Englmar-Predigstuhl have excellently prepared ski runs of every level. The many ski and snowboard schools as well as ski and snowboard hire ensure a completely successful winter vacation.

Großer Arber, the highest mountain in the Bavarian Forest stands at 1456m in the vicinity of Bodenmais. During the winter season its 15km of well-prepared ski runs are an attraction for skiers and snowboarders alike. Enjoy the various ski runs, which range in difficulty from easy to challenging. All winter sports fans will find the slope they’re looking for! All snowboard fans will find the Snowboard Fun Park to their taste. Snowboard hire is available on the spot. With the up-to-date lift system all runs can be reached without difficulty. In addition you can hire skis at the valley station, enjoy the ArBär- Kinderland, jolly toboggan runs, ski school, flood light areas and various events e.g. ski races.

Winter sports area “Geißkopf”

Whether you’re skiing or snowboarding – Geißkopf will most definitely fulfil your wishes.

The family friendly winter sports area close to Bischofmais in the Bavarian Forest offers 9 wide ski runs. These are suitable for both beginners and the more experienced skier.

For snow boarders there is a separate Snowboard-Funpark with numerous jumps, rails and a whole lot more!

And completely new in the skiing area of Geißkopf:

The Children’s Ski Compound “Geissleinpark” with two cable lifts and a conveyor belt! For the most part the runs in Geißkopf are additionally prepared with snow canons for even more skiing fun! Floodlight skiing is possible on three runs….
 

Winter sport area “Pröller-Dreieck”

Experience the outstandingly maintained runs and various offers for the whole family.

Enthusiastic winter sportsmen will find a fantastically beautiful skiing area in Pröller-Skidreieck in Sankt Englmar .You can reach all the runs, ranging in difficulty from easy and child-friendly to more challenging, via the modern lift facilties. And anybody who doesn’t want to stop skiing in the dark can take advantage of the floodlit slopes. There are various ski and snowboard schools in the area.
